Conflict of Interest

Article 5.3 of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control is the cornerstone of tobacco control internationally. It ensures that efforts to protect tobacco control from commercial and other vested interests of the tobacco industry are comprehensive and effective by excluding industry influence on health policy development.

This includes tobacco related products and services such as e-cigarettes. As a member of the NCD Alliance Scotland, ASH Scotland is careful of all attempts by health-harming industries and those working to further their interests to influence health.
