No Smoking Day

No Smoking Day 2026

No Smoking Day took place on Wednesday 11 March 2026.

We asked people to join us in raising the awareness of the harms of tobacco by sharing our digital assets on their social media channels, and using the hashtag #NSD26.

We’re always keen to hear people’s story about how they quit smoking. Find out how you can tell us more about your experience here

What did we do for No Smoking Day 2026?

ASH Scotland’s theme for No Smoking Day 2026 was ‘Quit and Win’. Through our media, social media, parliamentary and community engagement work, we encouraged people throughout Scotland to make attempts to quit to benefit their health, wellbeing and personal finances.

We also shared personal stories from people who have given up tobacco, including Jamie Stone MP who shared his experience of  successfully stopping smoking. We heard about what motivated him, and tips he has to encourage others who wanted to quit. You can read more here.
